Energy Transformation in Guadalajara
Modernising lighting and traffic light infrastructure
Guadalajara
Government

Since 2015, Serveo has been working in partnership with the Guadalajara City Council in the modernisation of public lighting and the traffic light system to help the city to meet its sustainability and energy efficiency goals. The project aims to reduce energy consumption, improve public safety and honour the municipality's environmental commitments.

Modernising lighting and traffic light infrastructure

One of the biggest challenges was the renewal of 95% of light fixtures to LED technology in just six months, which required flawless coordination among all teams. The project additionally entailed improving key infrastructure to ensure efficiency and control. Challenges related to the aging of facilities and adaptation to new regulations were also overcome thanks to a highly trained team and the use of advanced technologies.

Efficient energy management with cutting-edge technology

Serveo implemented a real-time, XperEnergy platform-based monitoring system, which provides data transparency and enables proactive management. This technology upgrade has allowed energy savings greater than 67%, in addition to positively impacting operating costs and contributing to the city's NetZero goals.
